Oh, hey there 2018, you sort of snuck up on me! 2017 was a great year for Shutter Shi Photography. In fact, it was a very quiet year for me. Through the “quiet” I have been able to really reflect about what I want this business to mean. Enjoy a look back on my 2017 sessions.
Whether it’s borrowed, blue, or new, wedding details are a great way for couples to show off their personality. I love to photograph the wedding details that make a couple’s love story truly their own. Here’s a look back on some of my favorite details of the 2016 wedding season, and a little advice for you brides-to-be.
Todd and Sarah were married on a gorgeous, sunny afternoon at Elk Creek Resort in Piedmont South Dakota. A story of a love lost than reunited. The entire day had a strong family focus and Avengers/superhero themed reception, making this a wedding to remember.
Cody and Megan had a most memorable wedding day after a 45 minute hail storm delayed their ceremony. None of this dampened their spirits, as they celebrated with family and friends and made their exit with a sparkler send off.
Nick and Stephanie tied the knot on a beautiful afternoon at Rimrock Church. The baby’s breath, vintage lanterns and logs on the reception tables paired well with the beauty of the canyon. Watching Nick wipe a tear from his eye as he saw his bride for the first time was such a special moment. And I can’t forget my favorite part: A coffee bar!
