Rain began to fall on my windshield as Michaela and I pulled up to Rimrock Church. There was a brief moment of concern that we wouldn’t be able to use the gorgeous canyon as a backdrop for Nick and Stephanie’s wedding photos. Fortunately, the clouds broke apart and we had plenty of opportunity to capture photos of the wedding party before Stephanie walked down the aisle and Nick would see her for the first time.
The ring bearer held rings on a Bible that had been in Stephanie’s family for three generations. Nick wiped away tears as Stephanie’s father walked her down the long aisle of Rimrock Church. In addition to vows and scriptures, the two families united with a family prayer. Soon followed by Nick and Stephanie’s first kiss as husband and wife.
After the ceremony, we headed outside to get some photos of the bride and groom together. I absolutely love the canyon that Rimrock Church sits in front of. The lace details of Stephanie’s dressed was a gorgeous contrast to the rustic rock. As always, Michaela and I work quickly together to capture the most images in a short amount of time. We didn’t want to keep the couple from their guests for too long.
It is always a priority when we shoot weddings to work quickly. While photographs are important, we also know that people travel great distances to be at the wedding. We want to make sure that a couple has time to enjoy their guests. With two of us on the scene, we are able to capture twice the photos in half the time!
Baby’s breath, lanterns, mason jars and log pieces adorned the reception tables. There was also a custom “wed-libs” game for guests to play while they waited. One of my absolute favorite features of the day: a coffee bar! Michaela and I loved sipping on a Waldron Bliss while guests enjoyed their meal.
I love seeing the joy and love between a bride and groom. But even more, I love seeing family and friends share in that joy. It was so evident throughout the day that this couple is surrounded by people that love them and will support their marriage.
Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your day, Nick and Stephanie! Michaela and I loved every moment of capturing your day.
