A gorgeous, vine covered arbor for the first look. Bear Butte in the background of your wedding ceremony. Guests laughing and talking under twinkling lights on the patio. All of these details make Sunshine Valley Gardens an absolutely gorgeous wedding venue.
Cody and Megan’s wedding was full of rustic, vintage details. Megan wore a lace dress she bought on Etsy and carried a large bouquet of yellow daisies and baby’s breath. Her look was complimented well with Cody’s grey vest over a green shirt and a yellow boutonniere as a pop of color. Their first look took place under a gorgeous arbor at Sunshine Valley Gardens.
The vintage and yellow theme of their wedding day was tied throughout all the details. Tables were adorned with vintage books and bottle caps. Vintage soda bottles were used as vases for yellow daisies and baby’s breath. And their guest book table featured old frames and a butter churn.
Megan and Cody’s wedding day will most definitely be a memorable one! Just as we finished up bridal party photos, a major storm decided to roll through. Strong winds, rain and hail poured down, delaying the outdoor ceremony. Fortunately, no one let that put a damper on the day. The sun came out and the Sunshine Valley Gardens staff worked quickly to dry chairs and sweep away the hail. A wonderful ceremony went on with Megan’s dad officiating.
After allowing the couple to enjoy a quick bite to eat, Michaela and I stole Cody and Megan for some sunset photos. The storm provided some gorgeous gold light, and the cooler weather made it easy for the couple to snuggle close. One thing I often joke about is that Michaela only loves to work with me because I will say anything to get a genuine laugh and smile out of a couple. Cody and Megan got more than their fair share of my awful jokes, but as you can see from the photos, it was worth it.
The guests enjoyed a cupcake flavor of their choice, soon followed by toasts from Megan’s sister and Cody’s brother. I love that Cody and Megan gave each member of their party a special soda. Additionally, the bridesmaids were given a gorgeous key. The groomsmen found a bottle opener on their drink. Clearly, this couple loves their unique finds!
To end the evening, guests gathered around to give Cody and Megan and memorable send off. The light from sparklers filled the air as people cheered the two on to begin their lives together as Mr. and Mrs.
Once again, it was a true honor to be able to work with Michaela and capture the memories of a wedding day. It is so humbling to know we are entrusted in making an important, yet fleeting moment, last a lifetime.
